ABOUT

Sage Ridge Equine started with the idea that good horsemanship should be real, simple, and open to anyone. From mustangs right off the range to seasoned show horses, I’ve built my program on patience, clear communication, and a whole lot of hard work.

I’ve been training and showing mustangs since I was a kid, competing in more than a dozen Mustang Challenges and placing well, including my run at the mustang challenge in Las Vegas. Over the years I’ve continued training outside horses — everything from green colts to problem-solvers. I also spend a lot of time working with youth riders, helping them start their own horses and get ready for shows, from local open shows to branching out into the breed show world.

Why I Started Sage Ridge
I created Sage Ridge Equine because I wanted a place where everyone feels welcome — backyard riders, youth competitors, first-time horse owners, and breed-show folks chasing big goals. No judgment, no ego. Just a place where you can learn, grow, and feel supported.

“Sage Ridge” fits the kind of horsemanship I believe in: grounded, gritty, and true to the land we ride on. Around here, we put in the work, we try our best, and we show up for our horses even on the tough days.

Whether you’re starting a young horse, looking for a solid prospect, or trying to build a better partnership with the horse you already have, I want Sage Ridge Equine to feel like home — a place where you and your horse get a fair shot, real guidance, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Training & Sales
Along with training, I also offer horses for sale that I’ve started or put time on. My goal is to produce honest, good-minded horses that are versatile and ready for whatever their new home needs — trail, 4-H, ranch riding, or just a solid partner to enjoy.
