• What Is Branded Partnerships?

  • A program designed to help move wild horses and burros from BLM holding into appropriate long-term homes.

  • Approved trainers gentle and prepare program animals for adoption.

  • Adopters get the benefit of working with a trainer who already knows the individual animal's personality, strengths and needs.

• What Every Sage Ridge Equine Forever Branded Graduate Knows

  • Halter and lead.

  • Stand for grooming.

  • Pick up all four feet.

  • Load and unload from a trailer.

    • BEYOND THE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS​

      • Yielding

      • Tying

      • Obstacles/Confidence building

      • Lunging

      • Fresh trim if needed before leaving​

• Why Adopt Through Sage Ridge Equine?

  • Animal has already received professional handling/training.

  • You can learn about its individual temperament before committing.

  • Help finding an animal appropriate for your goals and experience.

  • Transition support after adoption.

  • Option for continued training with Sage Ridge Equine through lessons or extended training.

  • Forever Branded requires partner trainers to offer adopters up to 10 follow-up lessons, either in person or by video. 

    • I charge $40/hour session​

    • Training beyond initial requirements is $1200/month

• How Adoption Works

  Forever Branded animals still follow applicable BLM adoption/sale rules, requirements and fees.

  • 1. Browse available animals.

    2. Contact Sage Ridge Equine.

    3. Talk with you about experience, facility and goals

    4. Meet the animal when appropriate.

    5. Complete the applicable BLM adoption/purchase process.

    6. Bring your new horse/burro home and continue receiving support.

  30-Day Safe Landing

  • Forever Branded trainers participate in a 30-day return period for program graduates if the placement isn't transitioning appropriately.

  • If the placement isn't working as expected, I'm available to help troubleshoot through lessons, additional training, or transition support. If the adopter decides the placement is not the right fit during the program's 30-day Safe Landing period, I will take the animal back and help determine the best next step.

  Continued Training

  • If you would like your horse broke undersaddle or just additional groundwork,  I offer a few different options beyond their initial groundwork. *This is not apart of the Forever Branded Partnerships Program. All training is $1200/month. 

    • Additional Groundwork 30 day minimum​

    • Saddle Starting 120 day minimum- This ensures a correct and effective start. Horses will not be pressured to be ready to go home with only 60 days of work. Owners are encouraged to come out weekly for lessons to help make the transition smoother when the horse goes home. 

    • Happy to talk other options depending on horse/client needs.
